Our Team

In the spirit of coalitions, our team consists of personnel from several different organizations and agencies.

CYNDI DESROSIERS, CPS, PROJECT COORDINATOR
Cyndi Desrosiers is a Certified Prevention Specialist, and has been the Project Coordinator for Allies in Substance Abuse Prevention since July, 2007.  She also provides consultation on community-based substance abuse prevention using strength-based approaches through collaboration with community partners, including youth, retailers, schools, law enforcement, elected officials, and other key stakeholders.

Cyndi has had success in coalition work in Maine where she directed a coalition whose outcomes showed 50 percent reduction in substance use over a four-year period using best practice models after a thorough assessment and true coalition collaboration.  She truly believes that prevention works because she has seen it.

Cyndi currently provides consultation to the NH Prevention Certification Board, is a member of the Public Awareness and Education Taskforce of the NH Governor’s Commission,and is a graduate of the Sixth Annual Leadership Institute through the NH Office of Alcohol and Drug Policy.  In 2009, Cyndi was selected to the Leadership Seacoast group and was also voted in as a Board Member of Friends of Recovery- New Hampshire.

The Community Health Institute (CHI) is an organization committed to improving the health and well-being of people and communities in Northern New England.  The CHI was established in 1995 by JSI Research and Training Institute (JSI), in partnership with the New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, to provide community-based providers with expertise and resources to strengthen New Hampshire's health care system and to serve as New Hampshire's Public Health Institute. The CHI works with health departments, health care providers and organizations, community organizations, and foundations to build capacity for health and improvement initiatives to meet community needs. Lisa Mure and Rachel Kohn are CHI's lead consultants to the United Way of the Greater Seacoast for several collaborative projects.

Mary K. Doty established Benchmark-Bookkeeping with the mission to help companies better manage their financial information and give owners more time to focus on growing their business.  A variety of bookkeeping services are offered at reasonable rates, initial consultations are always free, and nonprofits are especially welcomed as clients.  In 2007, The United Way of the Greater Seacoast hired Benchmark-Bookkeeping to manage the accounting associated with the NH SPF SIG Grant for Region J and Region F.
